With the navigation, Pepper can now drive to certain saved points in a room. In combination with our software, information can be output while driving or upon arrival at the positions. In addition, Pepper can either remain interactive on its way or stubbornly approach the points and avoid all obstacles and people. Patrols or guided tours can be set up, Pepper becomes more active all around.

This function is free and already activated for your robot. Here you will find the Youtube links that will help you to set the navigation correctly:

Face recognition is a tool with which Pepper can display content even more precisely. It runs without an internet connection and is therefore data protection compliant. Either individual persons can be recognized by storing the images of the persons on the robot and storing corresponding dialogues for the persons. Or groups of people can be identified anonymously using adjustable parameters, so-called target groups. The parameters are age, gender, mood, and location. Thus, for example, gender- or age-specific content can be displayed. This is particularly useful, for example, for product presentations.

And last but not least, Pepper can now also call service employees anywhere in the world if they get stuck themselves. I.e. A direct connection can be created from our browser-based platform and thus from almost any device directly to Pepper. (like a Skype call) Image and sound can, but need not, be transmitted and you can speak directly to the person in front of Pepper.

One scenario for this is clear, if Pepper is in a branch or entrance area and due to the current Corona situation there is no service employee on site, so a customer can still be helped from a distance.
